WIP - Tsalaca 'coalition's flag

Description

The possible future flag of a strong state/coalition of states of Alteplecas, the City-Peoples of roughly central Masset, the most advance core of civilization there perhaps. Perhaps the dynasty funded or continued by the strong king
Yenaramtska of Tsalaca.

The origins of the Alteplacas are obscure - native tales speak of their distant predecessors being 'mangy, miserous but proud yet' 'barbarians' of the north, who moved southward due to possible 'anger of the gods' (climatic changes?) and settled there, perhaps fighting, killing or taking over and assimilating peoples already living there, a predecessor culture-civilization. Some claimed the coastal cities, another civilization of Masset, may descend of the same peoples. Or later banished peoples. Or the ancestors of the Alteplacas where the ones banished. It's anyway confusing and unsure, as a few 'real/thorns wars" ended in shifting power, burning castles and so librairies of texts and codexes.

Their customs are both strange and fine, brutal yet refined. The Alteplacas mastered the art of metalworks (for Masset), stones carving, writting and such arts. Their cotton clothes are fines and elegants, as their buffalo wool. The Alteplacas and the coastal cities-states are the few elabored arcane magic-using societies there, and it is traditional for the so-called 'Sorcerer-Kings' to be eitheir mages themselves, dabble in magic, or have mages in their services (and then, instead, being direct theocrates and thaumaturges-clerics). As well, they have clergies of notes, and strong priests, often Kings themselves as noted.

The King of Tsalaca, Yenaramtska, is a rare sight, a master warlord, and a devout follower of the warriors god. He submitted and forced other cities of smaller forces to call vassality to him into a coalition by the river Kulaxaky, a wedge to split, divide and then conquer more hopefully, as we as close the huge fluvial valley(s) from the raiders nomads from desertic norths. He arranged for the next year a grand 'flowers war' (a sort of mock yet deadly serious - prisoners for executions and sacrifices - war who is also used to settle less grave differents and get gains on rival states) against a neighboor state, which they hope to cower into submission as well. Or at least a nice tribute of boars-pecaris, massetan horses, jade, maize, pulque and so on...

The king is also known for his just yet 'draconian' code of laws, updated from a distant past with his scholars and minister of the city-life, as well as having a lovely young wife and a small but elegant and as lovely 'harem' of concubines, perhaps not common in the city-folks's traditions, but who would say no to this jaguar-eagle of a man?

Raise your cup of pulque, who know when the next war will really come - Flowers or Thorns! And carefull for the 'blood mages's defiling effects!
